Guerrilla Theatre Brand launched with one massive party! The event was a celebration of the Melbourne-born lifestyle-concept officially landing and arriving at SoHigh Gallery and online. The GTB event by raraPR was a mash up of music, fashion and good times for one awesome night. A music lover’s dream, the party saw Jackie Onassis, DJ Prequel and DJ Flagrant all take the stage to help kick off the street-wear/lifestyle brand.
POLO CLUB - SHE WILL NEVER KNOW
Melbourne based band Polo Club released this tasty lil’ dance track with hip-hop and indie rock flavours a while back; but we still love it as much now as we did then. Artfully produced by Tony Espie (Cut Copy, Avalanches, Midnight Juggernauts), ‘She’ll Never Know’ blends old-school production techniques with modern tech flourishes, with lyrics about young love and poisoned punch. For those of you who haven’t met The Hills Are Alive just yet, allow us to introduce you. THAA is two days and one night. It’s where emerging and established artists come together on a family run-farm, celebrated by friends, and friends of friends, just outside Melbourne. It is on this weekend that time stops for festival lovers as they converge on The Hill and stand united to salute their love of music and friendship. Following a ground-swell of critical acclaim, Polo Club released ‘See You Again’ before hitting the highways of Australia for a massive headline tour. Known for blurring genres with their mix of hip-hop beats and electronic finishes, Polo Club has evolved into a four-piece indie-dance act, tearing up the Melbourne live scene and accumulating a cult of fans along the way. Polo Club’s genre-smashing tunes have seen them heralded as one of the country’s most interesting hip-hop acts, scoring them stage time alongside Ghostface Killah, Roots Manuva, Das Racist and Big Boi and standout sets at Parklife, Good Vibrations and The Push Over. This pop-coloured clip, which features ghost-hauntingly, beautiful vocals by Tali Gal-On, is worth the watch. Director: Bill Irving
